Venald delivered a retaining wall and fencing package for the Rockbank Childcare Centre development, including a 126-metre concrete sleeper retaining wall along the boundary. Challenging ground conditions, including granite, required five days of rock drilling.

Boundary retaining wall in challenging ground
The 126-metre wall was built on the site boundary. Granite in the ground made footing excavation challenging, with rock drilling taking five days. The footings along the easement line were 2 metres deep on this project.
Piling equipment to minimise disturbance
Venald engaged a piling machine to carry out the boundary footing works with minimal disturbance to neighbouring properties. The site footage below shows the work area and the piling equipment used on the project.
